The Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Regulations 2025

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(3) of the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022[^f00001].

These Regulations may be cited as the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Regulations 2025.
Provision coming into force on 1st September 2025

Section 17 of the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 (initial teacher training for further education) comes into force on 1st September 2025.

Explanatory note

Explanatory Note
These Regulations bring into force section 17 of the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 (c. 21) (“the Act”), on 1st September 2025. Section 17 of the Act provides a power for the Secretary of State to make regulations for the purpose of securing or improving the quality of courses of initial teacher training for further education provided by educational institutions in England. They are the third commencement regulations to be made under the Act.
