The Feed-in Tariffs (Amendment) Order 2026

Coming into force: 30th January 2026
The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 43 (3) (a) of the Energy Act 2008[^f00001].
Citation, commencement and extent

- (1) This Order may be cited as the Feed-in Tariffs (Amendment) Order 2026 and comes into force on 30th January 2026.
- (2) This Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland.
Amendments to the Feed-in Tariffs Order 2012

In article 16 (calculating and publishing FIT payment rates)[^f00002]—
- (a) at the start of paragraph (2), insert “Subject to paragraph (2B),”;
- (b) after paragraph (2A), insert—
(2B) On or before 1st April 2026, the Authority must publish a table setting out, for FIT year 17, the generation tariffs and export tariffs which are to apply to all accredited FIT installations.

Explanatory Note
This Order amends the Feed-in Tariffs Order 2012 ( S.I. 2012/2782).
Article 2 amends article 16 (calculating and publishing FIT payment rates) to require the Authority to publish tariff tables for the period 1st April 2026 to 31st March 2027 on or before 1st April 2026, instead of on or before 1st February 2026.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary or public sector is foreseen.
