• (iv) the number of the rated capacity pictogram must be in Bold 16 pt and the unit in Regular 12 pt, with the number and the unit next to each other and centred under the pictogram;

• (v) the number of the duration of the eco programme pictogram must be in Bold 16 pt and it must be centred under the pictogram;

• (k) area 11: the number of these Regulations must be 100% black and in Regular 6 pt.

In paragraph 15 colour proportions are expressed in CMYK percentages, for example: 0,70,100,0 = 0% cyan, 70% magenta, 100% yellow, 0% black.

Schedule 16 — Product information sheet without repairability information

The product information sheet (without repairability information) referred to in regulation 16(2)(b) is set out in Table 14.

In Table 14 “guarantee” means any undertaking by the dealer or supplier to the consumer to either reimburse the price paid, or replace, repair or handle the household tumble dryer in any way if it does not meet the specifications set out in the guarantee statement or in the relevant advertising.

Schedule 17 — Modifications

For the purposes of regulation 16(1) to (3), these Regulations must be read as if—

• (a) in regulation 12(a) the reference to regulation 11(1) were a reference to regulation 16(2);

• (b) in Schedule 1, in the definition of “declared values” the reference to regulation 11 were a reference to regulation 16;

• (c) in Schedule 4, paragraph 2 were substituted with—

(2) Where a parameter is declared pursuant to regulation 15 and in accordance with Table 12 or Table 13 of Schedule 14, its declared value must be used by the supplier for the calculations in this Schedule.

• (d) in Schedule 10—

• (i) in paragraph 1 the reference to regulation 11(1)(d) were a reference to regulation 16(2)(d);

• (ii) in paragraph 2 the reference to Schedule 7 were a reference to Schedule 15;

• (iii) in paragraph 6(1)(b) the reference to Schedule 7 were a reference to Schedule 15;

• (iv) in paragraph 7 the reference to regulation 11(1)(e) were a reference to regulation 16(2)(e);

• (e) in Schedule 11, in —

• (i) in paragraph 1 the reference to Schedule 7 were a reference to Schedule 15;

• (ii) in paragraph 2 the reference to Schedule 7 were a reference to Schedule 15;

• (iii) in paragraph 4—

• (aa) the reference to Schedule 5 were a reference to Schedule 14;

• (bb) the reference to Schedule 8 were a reference to Schedule 16.

Explanatory Note

These Regulations set out ecodesign and energy information requirements for household tumble dryers.

Part 1 contains introductory and interpretation provisions. Part 2 sets out the ecodesign requirements for household tumble dryers. These provisions are an implementing measure for the purposes of the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617).

Part 3 sets out energy information requirements for household tumble dryers. These provisions are a product-specific measure for the purposes of EU Regulation 2017/1369 setting a framework for energy labelling (EUR 2017/1369).

Part 4 makes saving and transitory provisions. Part 5 contains review, consequential amendments and revocations.
