The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 103(3) of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000[^f00001].

30 January 2001 is the appointed day on which section 99 of the Act shall come into force.

Explanatory note

(This note does not form part of the Order)

This Order brings section 99 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (“the Act”) into force on 30th January 2001.

Section 103(3) of the Act gives the National Assembly for Wales the power to appoint the day on which a provision not brought into force automatically by the Act shall come into force. Section 99 of the Act is a provision to which section 103(3) applies and provides—
