Coming into force: 31st May 2002

The National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on the Secretary of State by sections 537 and 569(4) and (5) of the Education Act 1996[^f00001] and now vested in the National Assembly[^f00002].

Name and commencement

These Regulations are called the Education (School Information) (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 31st May 2002.

Amendment of Regulations

  • “NC tests” and “NC tasks” means, respectively, National Curriculum tests and National Curriculum tasks administered to pupils in accordance with the statutory arrangements;

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Education (School Information) (Wales) Regulations 1999 in consequence of the abolition in Wales of “standard task assessments” (tests) to which the Education (National Curriculum) (Assessment Arrangements for English, Welsh, Mathematics and Science) (Key Stage 1) (Wales) Order 2002 (S.I. 2002/45 (W.4)) gave effect.
