Coming into force: 1st January 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred on the National Assembly for Wales by sections 163(3)(b) and 210(7) of the Education Act 2002[^f00001], the National Assembly for Wales makes the following Regulations:

Name, commencement and application

These Regulations are called the Independent Schools (Publication of Inspection Reports) (Wales) Regulations 2003 and come into force on 1st January 2004.

These Regulations apply to Wales.

These Regulations are not to apply to any inspection before 1st January 2006 of a school which was on 31st December 2003 provisionally registered in accordance with section 465(3) of the Education Act 1996[^f00002].

Publication of Inspection Reports

Where the registration authority requires publication of a report made under section 163(3)(a) of the Education Act 2002 the person who conducted the inspection must —

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations set out the manner in which a report of an inspection of an independent school by the Chief Inspector or one or more registered inspectors under section 163(1)(a) of the Education Act 2002 is to be published when publication is required by the registration authority.
