The Welsh Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 145(3) of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014[^f00001].
Title and interpretation

- (1) The title of this Order is the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 (Commencement No. 9) Order 2019.
- (2) In this Order, “the Act” means the Housing (Wales) Act 2014.
Appointed day

Section 131 (abolition of Housing Revenue Account subsidy) of the Act comes into force on 20 March 2019 for all remaining purposes.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
This is the ninth commencement order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 (“the Act”).
Article 2 brings into force section 131 of the Act, so far as it has not already been commenced. Section 131 provides for the abolition of the subsidy payable in relation to the Housing Revenue Accounts of local authorities under the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
