The Non-Domestic Rating Act 2023 (Commencement No. 1) (Wales) Regulations 2023

The Welsh Ministers make these Regulations in exercise of the power conferred on them by section 19(5) of the Non-Domestic Rating Act 2023[^f00001].

The title of these Regulations is the Non-Domestic Rating Act 2023 (Commencement No. 1) (Wales) Regulations 2023.
Provisions coming into force on 21 November 2023

The following provisions of the Non-Domestic Rating Act 2023 come into force on 21 November 2023—
- (a) section 15(1), in so far as it relates to the provisions in paragraphs (b) and (c);
- (b) section 15(3)(a), (c)(ii) and (d);
- (c) section 15(4).

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations are the first commencement regulations made by the Welsh Ministers under the Non-Domestic Rating Act 2023 (“the 2023 Act”). Regulation 2 brings into force certain provisions in section 15 of the 2023 Act in relation to the non-domestic rating multiplier in Wales on 21 November 2023.
