Coming into force: 1 April 2024

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 18(1), 203 and 204(1) of, and paragraph 5(1)(a) of Schedule 3 to, the National Health Service (Wales) Act 2006[^f00001], after completion of the consultation prescribed under section 18(3) of that Act, make the following Order:

Title, coming into force and interpretation

Amendment of article 1 of the principal Order

In article 1(2) of the principal Order, in the definition of “the trust”, for “Welsh Ambulance Services National Health Service Trust” substitute “Welsh Ambulance Services University National Health Service Trust”.

Amendment of article 2 of the principal Order

For article 2 of the principal Order substitute—

(2) There is hereby established an NHS trust which shall be called Welsh Ambulance Services University National Health Service Trust or Ymddiriedolaeth Brifysgol Gwasanaeth Iechyd Gwladol Gwasanaethau Ambiwlans Cymru.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE

This Order amends the Welsh Ambulance Services National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 1998 (“the principal Order”) to change the name of Welsh Ambulance Services National Health Service Trust to Welsh Ambulance Services University National Health Service Trust.
