The Welsh Ministers make these Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 7(2)(c) of the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act 2024[^f00001].

The title of these Regulations is the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act 2024 (Commencement) (Wales) Regulations 2024.
Provisions coming into force on 22 July 2024

Sections 1 and 5(a) and (c) of the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act 2024 come into force on 22 July 2024.

Explanatory note

EXPLANATORY NOTE
These Regulations bring sections 1 and 5(a) and (c) of the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Act 2024 (“the Act”) into force in relation to Wales on 22 July 2024.
All other provisions of the Act in relation to Wales came into force on 20 May 2024 (the date of Royal Assent) in accordance with section 7(3) of the Act.
