Reform history

- “*Additional Protocol*” means the protocol signed at Vienna on 7th June 2018 additional to the Safeguards Agreement;

- “*Additional Protocol information*” means information which the Secretary of State or the Office for Nuclear Regulation needs or will need in order to enable the obligations of the United Kingdom under Article 2 of... the Additional Protocol to be met;

- “*Agency inspector*” means a person designated under Article 83 of the Safeguards Agreement or Article 11 of the Additional Protocol;

- “*Safeguards Agreement*” means the agreement made on 7th June 2018 between the United Kingdom and the Agency for the application of safeguards in the United Kingdom in connection with the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

- (3) For the purposes of this Act the text of the Additional Protocol is that signed on 7th June 2018 but subject, in the case of Annexes I and II, to any amendments made under Article 16.b.

- (4) Her Majesty may by Order in Council direct that any of the provisions of this Act or of the Nuclear Safeguards and Electricity (Finance) Act 1978 shall extend, with such modifications as appear to Her Majesty to be appropriate, to any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or any British overseas territory.
